The launch of the new identity followed the demutualisation of The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the resulting creation of the non-operating holding company NGX Group Plc and its subsidiaries: Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited, the operating exchange; NGX Regulation (NGX RegCo) Limited, the independent regulatory arm of the Exchange; and NGX Real Estate (NGX RelCo) Limited, the real estate company.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced that the first Capital Market Committee (CMC) meeting in 2021 will hold from Thursday, April 15 to Friday, April 16, 2021. A statement from the commission on Sunday explained that the virtual meeting with key stakeholders will hold on April 15, while the usual interface with the press, on the outcome of the CMC meeting, will take place on Friday

LCCI Inaugurates E-Commerce For Private Enterprises
The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has announced the launch of its e-commerce sectoral group to support the development of private enterprises in various sectors of the economy. Disclosing this during the virtual e-commerce inaugural event, held over the weekend, the Chamber’s President, Mrs Toki Mabogunje, stated that, besides exposing investors’ products to a larger market base, the group would also boost investors’ confidence in the Chamber’s advocacy activities, aimed at developing private enterprises.

Minister pledges issuance of passport within 24-hours
Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, has assured Nigerians of obtaining their international passports within 24-hour following the commissioning of the newly built Maitama Passport Express Centre (MPEC). The centre, located in Abuja, was established in partnership with the private sector. Aregbesola said it marked the beginning of the decentralisation of the issuance of passport and hinted that more of such centres would be built across the country to speed up issuance of the document.

LAGOS, NIGERIA; 19th October 2020 – Emirates has announced it will increase its flight to Lagos from four weekly to five weekly flights on October 25th, and then daily from November 1st.Upon resumption to Nigeria routes after the COVID-19 lockdown on September 7th, the airline had announced that flights to Lagos will be operated four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while flights to Abuja will commence on September 9th and operate on a daily basis.
